At East Surrey Calligraphy Club, we have create a vibrant community of members who share passion for calligraphy. Our aim is to make the exploration of the art of calligraphy accessible to as many people as possible.
For newcomers, we offer a series of three taster sessions, providing an introduction to calligraphy. These sessions include a guided session with an experienced tutor and a complimentary calligraphy starter kit. After the initial three sessions newcomers will have the opportunity to decide if they would like to become a club member.
The current cost of the taster sessions is £50.
To sustain the club and cover operational costs, we kindly request that all members contribute to a yearly subscription1, payable each September. For those joining midway through the year, a reduced fee is applicable2.
Club members enjoy the flexibility of two options, allowing them to tailor their experience based on individual interests and schedules.
1. Members may commit to a continuous block of club sessions, typically spanning five to six weeks.
For example the cost of attending the June/July 2024 continuous block of sessions will be £125.003
2. Alternatively, members have the option to drop into up to three sessions within a continuous block of club sessions.
Current drop in fees are set at £20 per session and sessions must be booked in advance.
In the event of the club offering a workshop by a visiting calligrapher, members will have the choice to participate by paying an additional fee. This extra cost will be divided among participants and is contingent on a minimum the number of individuals opting in.
